With that in mind, we’re counting down the best fashion brands in the world based on brand popularity and valuation. Here are the top 30 fashion brands in 2022.

But while Chanel remains a classic brand and a financial success, the fashion house doesn’t have the media presence or intense desirability that it has had in years past, hence its slightly lower placement on our list.

Notably, Bottega Veneta is one of the very few luxury brands that rarely use logos on its designs. 


The popularity of Bottega Veneta has waxed and waned over the years, but it had a strong comeback after Daniel Lee took over as creative director in 2018. Thanks to its design refresh and its popularity among influencers, Bottega Veneta is one of the fastest-growing luxury brands as of 2022.

Nike is the leading fashion brand in activewear and lifestyle and is the most valuable fashion brand in any category. As of 2021, Nike had a valuation of $30.5 billion, earning it the top spot on the list of the top fashion brands in the world. Nike is likely to hold on to that top spot in the coming years, as its value was almost twice as high as the second-place finisher. 


  1. Burberry

Founded in London in 1856, Burberry is a luxury fashion house that’s known for its traditional British designs. Burberry is known for its signature check pattern, which is frequently used on the brand’s clothing, leather goods, accessories, and perfume bottles. 


While Burberry has a traditional design style, the brand has progressive values and inventive brand strategies that have helped it remain relevant in the modern era. Burberry has been recognized in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index and has taken a pledge to become Climate Positive by 2040. Burberry’s reputation has thrived in recent years, as have the British fashion house’s sales, which were back up to their pre-pandemic levels as of Q4 2021. 


  1. Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton Malletier, more commonly called Louis Vuitton, is a French luxury fashion house that was founded in 1854 by Georges Louis Vuitton. The brand first rose to prominence with its high-end trunks. Louis Vuitton’s roster of luxury goods would evolve to include handbags, ready-to-wear clothing, shoes, jewelry, watches, sunglasses, and luggage. In 1987, Louis Vuitton merged with Moet Hennessy to become LVMH Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey. The fashion house Louis Vuitton is now a subsidiary of LVMH. 


With a brand valuation of $14.8 billion, Louis Vuitton is the third most valuable fashion brand in 2022. Louis Vuitton also continues to have a strong media presence and opens more stores across the world, putting its total number of storefronts at over 460.

Founded by Guccio Gucci in 1921, Gucci is an Italian luxury fashion house that got its start designing horseback-riding gear and other high-end leather goods. The brand has evolved to create a wide range of luxury products, including handbags, ready-to-wear clothing, fragrances, and home decorations. Gucci tops our list thanks to its incredible performance in both areas we’re evaluating: brand value and popularity. With a brand valuation of $15.6 billion, Gucci is the second most valuable fashion brand in the world and the most valuable luxury fashion brand. When it comes to popularity, it’s hard to overstate how dominant the brand has been in the media and the eyes of consumers. Gucci has experienced a massive boom in popularity since Alessandro Michele took over as creative director in 2015 and, based on the brand’s sales and media presence, that popularity only seems to be growing.
